Jim Walsh Cork Forest Rally 2008

Breen & Martin Brady won the 2008 Jim Walsh Cork Forest Rally
after the new, shorter, 9 stage format. Instead of the annual
2 day format the Cork Motor Club devised a new 1 long day, more
competitor friendly format. Over the first 5 stages it was the
SVS In-Car camera customers who were dominating not only the overall
lead of the rally but also the Group N race as well. Peter McCullagh
& Alan Dolan had a blistering run on the first stage in their
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 but gearbox woes meant they couldn't continue
into the 2nd stage. Colin Britton & Arthur Kierans lead Group
N from the first stage but started to swap times with Owen Murphy
& Rodney Hicks on Stage 3. The 2 Evo 9 crews had a close battle
that eventually went in favour of the Cork man and his Fermanagh
co-driver who not only took the Group N win but also finished
2nd overall.
All of the above cars carried an SVS In-Car Camera.
