16:30 hrs - Results After Special Stage 20 (Classic):

Jason takes his final 7.6 seconds back as Marty cruises to his 3rd consecutive British Citroen Racing Trophy win, 1st in the British Rally Championship R2 Class, 7th overall in the international category and top 2 wheel drive car. It has been a fantastic weekend with some little brake problems on Friday but all in all, Marty has shown great pace right through the rally as Phil Clarke guided him round every bend successfully. Many thanks to Alan, John, Hanna, Rob, Niall & Owen for servicing the car and keeping her in perfect working order.

16:10 hrs - Results After Special Stage 19 (Staarvey 2):

Jason took back 1.1 seconds on the penultimate stage. Marty still has a 1 minute & 15.6 second lead in the Citroens as well as being top 2 wheel drive car and 7th overall with only one stage to go!

14:27 - Results After Special Stage 18 (Cringle 2):

Marty set the 8th fastest time overall and the fastest Citroen time in stage 18 but Jason Pritchard has lost over 35 seconds to boost Martys lead to 1 minute and 16.7 seconds. Only 2 stages to go.
Really slippy in the middle. Was consistently slow on slicks – pushed towards the end when it dried. Foggy on top of SS18.

Jason is fighting back taking 7.3 seconds out of Martys lead on stage 17.

Marty was fastest on Stage 15 to take back 3.3 seconds from Jason now extending the lead to over 45 seconds.

12:03 hrs - Results After Special Stage 14 (Maughold 2):

Jason took back 1.1 seconds on todays 2nd stage to keep the fight going but Marty still has over 40 seconds of a lead.
Had a spin on 6 left junction on SS13. Hit bank but no damage. No problems.

Marty set another fastest time out of the blocks on this mornings first stage over Jason Pritchard who has been given a 20 second time penalty helping Martys lead now up to 42.9 seconds.

Friday 10th July 2009:
21:10 hrs - Results After Special Stage 12 (West Baldwin):

Marty took a steady run through todays last stage only 5.8 seconds slower than Jason Pritchard to finish day 1 in a commanding lead.
New brakes again for this loop and much better. Had to be careful on SS9 then bedded in on way to Castletown. Much better for SS12.
The crews are in service now for 45 mins and then park up in parc ferme for the night. Day 2 starts in the morning (Saturday 11th July) at 9am and the first stage of the day (Stage 13) gets underway at 9:33am.

Jason Pritchard was 0.1 seconds faster than Marty on that stage but it was no where near enough to threaten Martys lead.

After a long delay we now have some times for stage 8. Marty has now extended his lead even further to 14.8 seconds.
Held at the start of Greer’s stage with just four seconds to go before he was due to start.
Managed a clean run through all the loop of stages.

Hit bale on SS5 with front wheel whilst on lock. Brakes still a problem so will change to old ones at service.

Because of Kris Hall & Mark Donnellys accidents on stage 1 the stage has been stopped and the remaining competitors have been given nominal times leaving all the Citroens on the same time.
