Martin McCormack in the Outdoor Services BDG Escort put in a stunning performance on the Townparks Car Sales Glens of Antrim Rally at the weekend. With Outdoor Services Director, Noel Downey in the co-drivers seat the pair finished the 10 gruelling stages in the Glens of Antrim an incredible 9th place overall especially when they had drove most of the rally with no back brakes. A problem with a brake caliper on stage four slowed the crew through it and stage five before repairs at service proved non effective, it left the crew to tackle the remaining five stages with only front brakes. With being as high as 8th overall after three stages they left service in 11th overall, intent on getting a finish. With the sound of the BDG engine bringing smiles to the large crowds of spectators, Martin and Noel arrived back at the rally finish in Ballymena in 9th place overall and 1st 2wheel drive car home amidst a gaggle of 4 wheel drive cars.
